Working schedules suck.. they really, reeeeally suck. That’s what Sam thinks. Actually, work in general sucks. Yeah, I guess she does regrets moving out at times because of how she could have been a millionaire by now touring world wide but hey; you gotta work for your dreams.. you just can’t think that you’re gonna achieve anything because a gold ticket your whore of a mother passed down to you. On the weekdays, Sam worked from 3 to 8 and by the time she gets home- or if she ever does get home she has a small dinner.. nothin’ too fancy. But tomorrow was Saturday… ah, the weekend. Such a relief.. such a refreshing thing to hear. Since Sam still loves music like she always has, on Wednesdays and Fridays she performs for different clubs, restaurants, lounges around Venice. She just tries her best to be an underground artist, praying to god she doesn’t get discovered because then her life will be over and she’ll have to go back to the US and stay grounded for the rest of her life, most likely. Her dream is to be discovered, but for now she just has to push it aside.
She slipped on a strapless black dress, kept it classy and placed a black lace jacket over it. Putting her hair in a messy bun, she then applied her simple makeup & scarlet red lipstick and walked out the door in her Jeffrey Campbell’s. She was tired, but she was up for performing because it didn’t feel like a gig to her. Arriving, she checked the clock and she came in just enough time. Making her way to the keyboard she took a deep breathe and stared at the small crowd. “Ciao, mi chiamo Sam, e ho intenzione di eseguire un paio di canzoni per voi stasera. Spero che tutti piace,” with a warm smile she proceeded to play the songs she originally wrote; as well as belting some Christina and Aretha. By the end of her performance, she bowed and went to sit, enjoy the rest of the night and might as well have a bite to eat, and she saw a person slowly walking up to her with a smile. At first she thought she was just imaging stuff thanks to the glass of wine but nah.
